In partnership with the National Committee on the United States-China Relations and World Trade Center Delaware, the Confucius Institute and Institute for Global Studies co-sponsored the eighth annual China Town Hall, a national webcast conference, at UD in October 2014. This year’s China Town Hall, which was held at several locations around the country, featured former President Jimmy Carter and Dr. Christian Murck, former President of American Chamber of Commerce in China, who talked about the dynamic US-China relationship. This year’s theme was “Local Connections, National Reflections.” The conference aims to help Americans understand the dynamic U.S.-China relationship and answer questions on issues that touch their daily lives.
