Dr. Joan L. Brown, Elias Ahuja Chair of Spanish, presented a talk on the future of Hispanic Studies at Harvard University’s Cervantes Institute on April 19, 2018. She spoke about the importance of diversification, professionalization and a foundational canon for graduate education. The presentation was part of a panel commemorating the centennial issue of the journal Hispania, to which she also contributed.
