An unexpected romance blooms after the the youngest daughter of a merchant who has fallen on hard times offers herself to the mysterious beast to which her father has become indebted.

An arrogant prince, cursed to live as a terrifying beast until he finds true love, encounters Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who becomes a prisoner in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior to discover the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.  As time runs out for the beast, it soon becomes obvious that Belle’s cocky suitor Gaston is the real beast of the film.
