Godless Youth
In a dystopian, performance-oriented society, adolescents struggle for good grades while their dreams are shattered by an indifferent system. In a not-to-distant future, in which integration serves to protect the elite and isolate the weak, in which the cities are hellholes and the countryside holds the fairy-tale promise of a better life, a young female pupil is found dead in the woods during the annual final-year assessment camp. On his quest for the truth, the reputedly morally upright teacher breaks with his own values, as he becomes increasingly entangled in his own lies. Suddenly someone confesses to a murder that he couldn’t have committed, and the fragile cohesion of a youthful elite society threatens to destroy itself.
