After a collapse on stage, the entertainer Hape Kerkeling realizes that he needs a break. The burnt-out German comedian (Devid Striesow) takes a six-month sabbatical, and embarks on a 500-mile pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in search for the meaning of life.  He finds spiritual reflection, physical challenges, and human connection along the way.
