A rural drama set in Obaba, a mythical region in northern Spain, where a young filmmaker struggles to capture the feel of the area, which in turn leads to a wealth of self-discovery.

Lourdes (Bárbara Lennie) is a young college student who is assigned a film-making project. She decides to make a documentary about the small Basque town where she lives and its colorful inhabitants. Over the course of making her film, Lourdes gains new perspectives on her rural community, by observing the intimate details of the lives of the people living there. But, in doing so, Lourdes ultimately winds up learning the most interesting things about herself.
