Set in post-war Czechoslovakia, the elementary school explores the lives of pre-adolescent boys in a series of fondly remembered vignettes. The Nazis have departed and the communists have not yep arrived, and in this idyllic interlude there is  ample room for little boys,eager to grow up to attract mischief.
