Spring Haiku Competition
This spring the Japanese section ran a haiku competition and had a lot of great entries. They chose two winners from each level as well as an overall winner. The prize was their haiku written out in real Japanese calligraphy by Chika Inoue, a calligraphy master who has an entry in a national exhibition this summer. The overall winner also received a book of Matsuo Basho’s haiku poetry. Everyone had such a great time, they want to do it again next year!
