Melinda Danowitz (BAFLL French/Biology 2012)
Melinda Danowitz (BAFLL French/Biology 2012) is currently a third-year medical student at New York Institute of Technology – College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is participating in a year-long Academic Scholars program where she is teaching first- and second-year students, doing anatomy research, and earning a master’s degree in neuromusculoskeletal sciences. So far, she has two publications on mammalian anatomy, with several others in the process. She presented her research at the American Museum of Natural History last March, and at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology conference in Berlin last November. She translated French for numerous Haitian patients while doing rotations in the hospitals, and went back to Paris last summer to celebrate after my Boards examination.
